S.T.O.M.P

You guys here know that I am not the big drinker and partying sort. So last week, IH had PPP night. Pimps, prostitutes and pornstars night. Surprise.. surprise.... I was in my comfy pajamas watching the going-ons. It was so much fun watching everyone! Everyone dressed up and basically got drunk and partayyeed! Here are some photos that i got off facebook..
slutty dude? with a pimp

Btw, the 2nd from the right is Clark Kent *wink wink*

And girls who basically dressed sexily.... or scantily? None the less, hotness... for some

Anyways, it was good fun watching everyone. Seeing what people wear and how they get drunk before getting to the venue. So, me and the usual gang decided that we might as well go out for dinner the next day since we've been good gals that night. And we found out that STOMP was going on the next day as well.. And wa-la, we are there!

STOMP in newcastle is not at all like the one in KL.. No continuous banging. erm on drums..
It was a cultural fest where there are food stands (german sausages!!) and stalls that sell all sorts (hats, 'kain', asian-ish clothes, bags and even some sort of 'potions' that i suspect may be aphrodisiac-ish. And people there dressed really differently. Really comfy, style-o, gypsy-ish clothes. And we pulak.. so smart.. thought of dressing up a lil for dinner, wore high heels! High heels and soft ground combo. I'm sure u girls out there understand what we went through. But it was an interesting night.. All about BEING WHO YOU ARE and NOT LETTING PEOPLE PUT YOU DOWN. plus got quite a lot of uni students there and therefore.. ahem ahem.... leng chais...
I don't mean to sound shallow, I was just being observant and most importantly, a straight girl.

(One thing i learned about aussies, they speak their mind and do fight for what they think is right while malaysians? erm..tengok aje lah.. Blame government.. And try to bribe our way through)

Anyways, here are some pics..
This is one of the 'stages' they built

Dance performance (i think it needs a lot of practice to move the butt as well as they do)

tThe dude in yellow pants was dancing around playing some sorta instrument while the people on the floor are watching a bunch of people practice with juggling sticks on fire!

Yedda, me and aili. Just chillin and watchin everything around us.

Signing off for now.

Blood Donation

On Sunday, my usual gang (ai li, melissa, yedda) had a very exciting plan. What else would it involve if not FOOD!
Ori Plan: Pancakes on Beaumont (the pancakes there are really good, with choc stuff, or berries or even a big breakfast with pancakes..)

Turnout: Took the bus there and forgot that it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was packed! In the end we were just roaming down the street and all the chun chun restaurants were packed!! And you would think that most ppl would be caring enough to cook their mothers' a meal.. but Nope! Everyone is out at a restaurant, letting cooks do the dirty job.

So, we walked and walked and walked.. and we found Raj's Corner! Indian food!! And there was nan and popadam and the whole REAL deal. So we all had curry and rice.. And that was authentic curry not the Australianise version which is milky and not spicy.. Pretty Satisfied!

Moving on.. today, i had my first blood donation!!! i was suppose to inform the people in charge i was from International House and apparently they would keep score. But wut the heck, I forgot. But of course the main reason i was doing it was for the better of the world! Saving lifes..! You should know the noble me.

Anyways, that was my FIRST blood donation! EVER! proud of myself. But definitely not proud of the nurse.. she was damn nice but she pricked me!! i thought i wouldn't feel a thing.. I didn't feel anything when i did my blood test before!

Well, that was that.. I'll return to doing my other noble work. Till the next update!

Murder week

As you can imagine, staying on campus they do organise a few events. Lately they had Murder Week going on. It's a game where everyone who participates gets a plastic knife that has a name on it and u are supposed to kill that person.
Killing people for fun. Where else can you get that? So i figured, why not?

Well, after the whole 5 days of playing the game, i figured many reasons of why not. Mainly the stress. Everyone was so paranoid about being killed that everyone travelled in pairs.

However, the funniest things happen that week. The most random people would turn up in my block trying to be friends with the unit. Or looking for people that i'm sure they are not close with.

For me, I'm pretty happy i killed one person. I actually stabbed him twice just to kill him. And then my dead victim kept on bringing my murderer to my unit. There was even one night (a night before my test), I was hibernating in my room to study, my murderer actually came to my block 3 times! After I heard that, I was a little paranoid even about going to the toilet when i'm alone. Afraid that a knife would be waiting for me once i step out. stress... Anyways, I really salute him for the effort. He never quite gave up. He even tried to kill me in my block when i'm in my lectures... keke.. But in the end.. I GOT KILLED! by another girl who murdered my murderer. By that time, it was the 3rd or 4th day and i am glad it ended for me.

After a whole lot of killing and lies and conspiracies.... a guy who i didn't know was playing won.
Hey guys.. It's me again! Miss me?

it's not that i don't update, but i can't! The worst and best thing happened to me during my easter holidays.

Worst: Laptop Crashed!! damn HP! screen wasn't working.. paid 66AUD to find that out and costs me nearly a 1000AUD to fix it! so eff it! a new one for me=) (so basically it ended well)

Best: My AMAZING housemate brought me, aili and melissa to her home in Kandos and my parents came over..

Let's see... We started off with going down to Sydney for the Royal Easter Show. I loved it there.. the cutest piglets, the laziest 'zhu la', cows, and lots of stalls for games, food and and andddd...... a woman getting shot out of a canon ball!! The whole fun fair deal! but it's really huge! and apparently, nicole kidman and keith urban went too!
And then, we went on to Kandos, which was a 3 hours west of Sydney.. It's a real small town, where everyone knows each other.. Get this, in Yedda's year, there was only 20 odd people who graduated. That's the amount of people they have in that year! and some schools have like 7 or 10 kids! amazing huh!
Kandos is a really beautiful and serene place. I love the place but afterawhile, without all the big malls it might get a lil mundane. But it was Purrrr-fect for an Easter Weekend!!

We made Anzac cookies, rocky road, pavlova... Ate tonnes of chocolate that we actually got sick of chocs.. I still have chocs sitting around in my room.
Oh ya, before we left for the hols, i actually gave an easter egg to each of my hsemate! And i got easter eggs and a bunny at my door. It feels sooo good to receive presents! I actually ran downstairs when i heard i have a bunny choc at my door! keke..

And later that week, my parents came down for a whole week. And of course we went MAKAN!
good place to eat.. Six Ounce. Reasons? food is pretty good and good looking waiter. He is holding the camera. And that's the reason the 3 gals on the left are smiling sooo sweetly... Not hard to do at all ;)

Honestly, in Newcastle, there is nothing much to tour around except for the beaches. And i bet you can imagine my parents asking me 'what can we do today, girl?' And i go '.... shopping?' And trust me MV or OneU is wayyy betta! I think my parents were really glad that we were going to Sydney for the weekend. Just to give this blog some flava, i'll put up more pics..

hmm.. forgot the name of this place. Pothole or something like that.. the water from the ocean actually shoots up into the air really high when the waves come in.. It's pretty amazing.
hmm.. I think the 3 sisters rock formations are at the back.

These places have great views.. but somehow i think China has greater scenics.. just my opinion

It was a good holiday but by the time i get back to International House, it feels really quiet with everyone being back home. Can't imagine going back home at the end of the year now.. but for food i will return keke.. and also the ppl lah..
